Kickin Dirty (Kickball Tournament)
About this Event
Coed Kickball Tournament Rules & Division Information
Teams may register under one of two divisions:
Upper / A DivisionThis division is for more competitive, experienced, or higher-level teams.
Lower / B DivisionThis division is for recreational, casual, or less experienced teams.
Each division winner will receive a $750 cash prize, a championship trophy, and full bragging rights.
Each team must have a minimum of 8 players to compete.
All teams must be coed, with a minimum of 4 males and 4 females on the team.
A 10-player roster is recommended.
Teams may field up to 10 players on defense at one time, including the pitcher, catcher, infielders, and outfielders combined.
Kicking Order / Lineup Rule:The kicking order must alternate by gender throughout the entire lineup. Teams may use either male, female, male, female or female, male, female, male, but the order must stay consistent from start to finish.
Tournament Format:
This tournament will be double elimination, meaning each team is guaranteed at least two games. One loss will not end your weekend — teams are not eliminated until they have lost two games. Keep winning and you keep advancing toward the championship.
Game Time Limit:Games will have a 55-minute time limit. If a game reaches or exceeds the time limit, the winner will be determined by the score at the end of the current inning being played.
The team with the most runs at the end of that inning will be declared the winner.
Home Run Rule:Each team is allowed 3 home runs per game. Any home run hit after the team’s 3-home-run limit will count as an out, unless a home run bracelet or home run token is used.
Home Run Bracelet & Token Rule:Each team may purchase one home run bracelet. The bracelet must be assigned to one designated player on that team. That designated player may hit unlimited home runs while the bracelet is valid.
The home run bracelet is valid for Friday and Saturday games only. It is not valid on Championship Day.
Teams may also purchase home run tokens. 10 tokens may be purchased for $25.00.
A home run token may be used by any player on the team. The player must turn in the token and notify the umpire before kicking the ball that they are using their home run option.
If a player does not turn in a token or notify the umpire before the kick, the home run will count toward the team’s regular 3-home-run limit. If the team has already reached its limit, the home run will count as an out.
Teams may play with 8 or 9 players if needed, but must still meet the required coed minimum unless approved by tournament staff.
All roster, lineup, time limit, home run, bracelet, token, and division decisions are subject to tournament director approval.
