About this Event

KHIN: Kings Heal In Nature
Where brotherhood, healing, and nature meet.

Join us for Kings Heal In Nature, a guided community nature hike designed to bring together men and male youth (16+) for connection, reflection, healing, and brotherhood. This is the beginning of a series of hikes scheduled from June 24th to July 29th.

Hosted collaboratively by Grief Witness Community and Hoodman2Manhood, this gathering creates space for meaningful conversations about mental health, wellness, grief, personal growth, and the power of community. Together, we'll step away from the noise of daily life and reconnect with ourselves, each other, and the natural world.

Rooted in the belief that healing happens in community, participants will have opportunities to build authentic connections, share lived experiences, and be witnessed in a supportive environment. Drawing inspiration from nature therapy, mindfulness practices, holistic wellness, and community care, this experience encourages participants to slow down, breathe deeply, and embrace the restorative benefits of being outdoors.

Whether you're navigating life's challenges, seeking brotherhood, or simply looking to spend intentional time in nature, this hike offers a welcoming space to learn, connect, and grow.

What to Expect:
  • Guided nature hike
  • Brotherhood-building conversations
  • Discussions on mental health, wellness, and healing
  • Reflection and mindfulness practices
  • Community connection and support
  • Opportunities to reconnect with nature and self
  • Refreshments: Cold brew tea by Thorn and Roots

Who Is This For?

Men and male youth ages 16+ who are interested in building community, supporting their well-being, and exploring healing through connection, movement, and nature.

Our Hosts:

Grief Witness Community (@griefwitness) - An in-person gathering for men and male youth (16+) to come together, slow down, and have their grief acknowledged and honoured, founded by Kwesi Jamaal, a holistic wellness activator, community builder, and traveler.

Hoodman2Manhood (@hoodman2manhood) - A space centred on Black men’s overall health. Inspired by practices like binaural beats meditation, qigong, and nature therapy. Founded by Tray, also known as Poettray. A spoken word artist whose work bridges poetry and mental health — using storytelling as a tool for reflection and healing.

Community Partner:

HipHop Healing Global (@hiphop.healing), a non-profit organization that leverages hip-hop as a culturally responsive approach for community healing, providing live events, community workshops, and media.
