About this Event

KHARTOUM

Five lives, one city, a nation at war. A civil servant, a tea lady, a resistance committee volunteer and two street boys. Five stories from Sudan weave together in search of freedom through animated dreams, street revolutions and a war from the metropolis of Khartoum to escape in East Africa.

A film by Anas Saeed, Rawia Alhag, Ibrahim Snoop, and Timeea M.Ahmed with Yousef Jubeh and Phil Cox

The Nafeer Collective was formed to bring the fight against militarization, imperialism, and counter-revolution in Sudanese society to the Bay Area. In a world of empire, collective solidarity with the Sudanese people becomes an indispensable tool in the fight for Sudanese liberation. Nafeer invites you to attend this screening with open hearts and minds. Bring your family, friends, or coworkers as we collectively engage in the work that builds solidarity.

All ticket revenues will be donated to the Sudan Solidarity Collective. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. If ticket prices pose an impediment, reach out to us at [email protected]

Many thanks to the New Parkway Theatre for hosting us for this screening.
