Lake Grove Concert Series launches its 11th season with a joyful celebration of musical discovery. Organist Jeff Wood, known for thrilling audiences from Lake Grove’s organ console for over a decade, shares a program featuring meaningful organ and piano music he has carried with him since college — finally brought to life in this beautiful space. Alongside these timeless masterworks by Johann Sebastian Bach and César Franck, the program also features fresh, invigorating pieces by living composers writing across genres, like British YouTube sensation David Hicken, Bryce Dessner of the famed band The National, and the immensely popular Japanese singer-songwriter and pianist Fujii Kaze. This family-friendly concert invites listeners of all ages to tap into their imagination and be transported by music both old and new. Come experience the wonder of rediscovery and leave feeling refreshed and inspired. As with all Lake Grove concerts, the program is about an hour long, free, and all are welcome to attend.
