Montgomery wrote "I Won't Close My Eyes" on Martina McBride's quadruple platinum album, Evolution. Juice Newton covered his A&M Records release, "Red-Blooded American Boy". He sang harmonies on Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance" album. Most recently he wrote "Come to Mine" with Graham Gouldmann of 10cc and Beth Neilsen Chapman that appears on both their releases.
