Kety Fusco Live in Los Angeles | Free Harp Concert
About this Event
On stage, the harp sings: it becomes a voice with its own breath, presence, and identity. Kety's performances are not designed for passive listening, but as immersive experiences that demand attention, curiosity, and engagement. Her artistic practice challenges conventional perceptions of the harp, revealing its untapped potential as a bold, avant-garde instrument capable of speaking the language of the present, and the future. Rather than preserving its traditional role, Kety rewrites the instrument’s vocabulary, inviting audiences to rediscover the harp not as a symbol of the past, but as one of the most radical and compelling voices in contemporary music.
About the Artist:
Kety Fusco is an Italian-Swiss harpist, composer, curator, and sonic innovator redefining the role of the harp in contemporary music. Moving far beyond the instrument’s traditional identity, Fusco approaches the harp as a radically contemporary sound source. Through electronics, sampling, extended techniques, and real-time sound manipulation, she transforms it into a powerful generator of new sonic landscapes, placing the harp at the centre of her compositions as a living, expressive voice. Her work has been praised by international media including The Guardian, BBC 6 Music, Wired, Wonderland, and ZEIT. She has performed at some of the world’s most prestigious venues and festivals, including the sold-out Royal Albert Hall, SXSW Austin, Montreux Jazz Festival, Paléo Festival, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, CENART and Eurojazz in Mexico, the Moulin Rouge in Paris, the Swiss Parliament, the Sanremo Festival, and the Embassy of Italy in Peru. Alongside her concert career, Fusco composes music for radio, film, and audiovisual productions. Her reinterpretation of Erik Satie’s Gnossienne was selected by ARTE France as the main theme for a documentary dedicated to the French composer. Her critically acclaimed album BOHÈME features the legendary Iggy Pop on the single SHE. She is currently collaborating with electronic music pioneer Jeff Mills on Trip to Vega, which will premiere at the Romaeuropa Festival at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in September 2026 before being presented at the sold-out Philharmonie de Paris in December 2026. Beyond her work as a performer and composer, Fusco is the founder and artistic director of Floating Notes Festival, an international festival in Switzerland dedicated to contemporary music, experimentation, and artistic innovation. Under her artistic direction, the festival has welcomed visionary artists including Mary Lattimore and will present Jeff Mills with his iconic Cinemix: Metropolis, bringing together some of the most forward-thinking voices in contemporary music.
