We welcome all to the Kentucky and Somerset premiere of our student film: Chi. It was filmed right here in Somerset, Kentucky, on Jarvis Avenue and at Pulaski County Park.
Tickets are only $17, and you can get them here for a day pass: https://www.strideevents.com/events/black-mountain-film-festival/2026/tickets
Chi Summary: After being abandoned in the wake of a terminal diagnosis, an aging chihuahua sets out on her final journey, not to outrun the inevitable, but to discover what it truly means to find unconditional love.
Director Statement: Chi was produced for my Digital Production II class at Grand Canyon University. The primary goal was to produce a film with little or minimal dialogue. We knew we wanted to feature our 14-Year-Old Chihuahua, Abby, who is in failing health, before she passes.
