Blues bands and solo/duo acts are invited to participate in the Kentuckiana Blues Challenge, the regional qualifying event for the Blues Foundation’s annual International Blues Challenge. Winning the KBS Blues Challenge gets you a cash prize to help cover expenses for the IBC (held in Memphis January 13-17, 2026), a paid gig at our annual anniversary party, and studio recording time. And, of course, the IBC itself, where you’re guaranteed to play at least two nights to a packed house on historic Beale Street. The date is set for Sunday, September 7th at Stevie Ray’s Blues Bar.
