Kenton Hall & The Necessary MeasuresKenton Hall is a Canadian actor, author, director and musician. From 2000-2010, we was the frontperson for the band ist. He also wrote and directed the feature film A Dozen Summers and his first book, Bisection, a comic memoir of living and parenting with bipolar disorder was published in 2019. His first solo album Idiopath was released in 2023 and its follow-up, Songs for the Swung, will be released in November 2024.
Chris Ilett is a British singer-songwriter, producer, and mixer known for his distinctive blend of melancholy and bittersweet sounds. His music often incorporates complex lyrical themes and innovative musical arrangements. For his solo shows he plays with dynamics, using silence to create meaningful connections with the audience. Heckling is encouraged.
Wally Walton is best known as guitarist and song writer alongside Gaz Birtles in Yelowbelly. Their powerful vocals, tight harmonies and punchy songs gave them a reputation for high energy performances with rock solid beats. These days, Wally performs solo acoustic gigs of reimagined Yellowbelly songs and 80’s classics plus occasionally some new material from his forthcoming album “Tetu”.
Brett Richardson of The Shadow That Melts The Flesh was drawn to music since birth. His mother still tells the tales of him as a baby bouncing in his chair to Blondie so much, his foot wore a hole in the fabric. He took up the bassoon at age 9, and the bass at age 16, because they’re both the best instruments in their respective fields, obviously. Brett’s obviously a bass-man at heart. Yes, he was ist’s six-string-slinger for their swansong years, and his Shadow act consists of more guitars and pedals than should be humanly possible, but the draw of the low end eventually became too much, and he’s now proud to stand tall (very tall) behind the majestic four strings once more with Kenton, necessarily.
The new single is OUT, so if you can spare £1 - it's all going to finishing up the album. https://kentonhallthenecessarymeasures.bandcamp.com/album/the-sun-shone-down-good-at-what-i-do
