Kensington Comedy Night is San Diego’s hottest free stand-up show, happening every Saturday at 7:30PM at Mission Brewing Kensington. 🎤🍻 Each week features a brand-new lineup of top comics bringing the laughs, while you kick back with craft beer, hard seltzers, or wine. There’s never a cover charge—just a packed room, great drinks, and nonstop comedy energy that makes Saturday nights unforgettable. <NOTE: This show is usually on the patio unless it rains or it gets really cold, then it will be moved inside.>

Alfred Konuwa is the kind of headliner who walks on stage like he’s having the best night of his life… and then immediately starts saying the quiet parts out loud. His style is high-energy, crowd-pleasing, and just edgy enough to keep you leaning forward—like you’re watching someone turn charisma into a controlled burn.

He’s a Los Angeles-based comic and writer with a “how did we get here?” absurd perspective—big laughs, sharp turns, and that sneaky skill where he can be joyful one second and roasting the whole world the next (without losing the room).

Alfred’s been a featured guest on NPR (Weekend Edition + Here & Now), showcased for StandUp NBC, and he’s put in work everywhere from The Comedy Store (including Roast Battle) to Don’t Tell Comedy and K*ll Tony—plus a stack of festivals like Broke LA, Altercation, and the World Series of Comedy.
