About Kendrick Castillo
On May 4, 2025, we will come together as a community to honor the legacy of Kendrick Castillo, a true hero who gave his life protecting his classmates during the STEM School shooting in Highlands Ranch. Kendrick was passionate about robotics, his Jeep, and helping others. His bravery and kindness continue to inspire us, and with the recent renaming of Kendrick Castillo Way, we want to pay tribute with a special sunset drive in his memory.
Event Itinerary
🛑 6:00 PM – Meet-Up & Staging
Arrive at the parking area at 8817 S Broadway, Littleton, CO 80129
Organizers will provide route maps and guidelines.
Moment of silence & brief words from John Castillo.
🚙 7:00 PM – Memorial Sunset Drive Begins
Depart as a group, following the planned route.
Drive respectfully along Kendrick Castillo Way and all other roads as well)
Maintain a steady, slow pace to allow for reflection and unity.
🚗 8:00 PM – Drive Concludes
Return to parking lot TBD
Open time for conversation, remembrance, and connection.
🛑Driving Safety & Event Guidelines🛑
Respect Traffic Laws: This is NOT a parade or blocked-off route. Maintain normal road rules.
Stay Together But Safe: Keep a reasonable distance and use turn signals.
Keep It Respectful: No excessive revving, honking, or loud music. Don't blow theough lights or cut people off.
Follow Lead Vehicles: Organizers will help keep the group moving smoothly.
Lights On at Dusk: Headlights on for visibility and unity.
This is a peaceful and respectful event to honor Kendrick’s heroism and the impact he made on this world. We hope to see our community come together to show support for his memory and family.
