Kendall-Whittier Improvement District Meeting

The Kendall-Whittier Improvement District collects assessments from properties within the district, including businesses where residents shop. Those funds are used for district improvements such as streetscape work, beautification, maintenance, branding, events, landscaping, lighting, trees, public art, and other visible upgrades.
Money collected from areas where residents shop is redistributed to improve areas where visitors shop. Because residents do not have a dedicated resident voice in KWID oversight, community comment may be the only formal opportunity residents have to speak on how shared public-facing spaces are funded, changed, maintained, and prioritized.
