Join us for the Kenan Lecture Series featuring Stephen Petrus on March 12, 2026, at 7PM in the Ringhaver Student Center.Stephen Petrus is Director of Public History Programs at the LaGuardia and Wagner Archives and a historian specializing in 20th-century U.S. urban and cultural history, with a focus on New York City. Since 2017, he has co-curated multiple acclaimed LGBTQ exhibitions at LaGuardia, including The Battle for Intro. 2 and A Seat at the Table: LGBTQ Representation in New York Politics. Previously, he held Mellon Fellowships at the New-York Historical Society and the Museum of the City of New York, where he curated Folk City: New York and the Folk Music Revival. He is a member of the New York Academy of History.
