Power up your students at the KEMPA Journalism Summer Camp this July 26 - 29 at UW-Whitewater! Register Here!
Programming will set a solid foundation to get your student media staff ready to roll with this year's theme "Power of the Press." Hands-on workshops in design, photography, writing, leadership and sports will cover all the bases. Campers will also learn TV and radio broadcasting, team building, AI tools and content framing skills. Workshops will be held in The Royal Purple student newspaper office, UWW-TV studio and 91.7 The Edge WSUW radio station.
Top performers in each workshop session will win awards handed out at the end of camp featured in the annual KEMPA Cup presentation. Students will also take home digital deliverables that feature their work. What great resume builders!
Campers will stay in the new Ma’iingan tower dormitory with morning and lunch breakfast buffets at the campus dining hall and nightly catered dinners in the University Center. Each night will feature a different group activity such as bowling, pool and gaming in Warhawk Alley, swimming and sports around the Williams Athletic Center, and a blockbuster movie on the big screen in Heide Lecture Hall. There really is something for everyone at KEMPA camp, open to all skill levels!
