Finish time: 11.00pm approx (18 hours average 'good' finish time)
This is a superb challenge, a fab bucketlist must if you love the Eryri/Snowdonia National park. The hike spans 3 mountain ranges and we will tackle this in just 1 day... you must have great mountain fitness and be able to keep a fast pace for the most part.
The perfect candidate should have previously completed a challenging grade 1 scramble, excel in navigating steep descents, and be capable of maintaining a leader's pace of approximately 4-5 kph on mountainous terrain. (4 uphill or 5kph on the descents) This would be a great challenge for anyone who has completed Ultra distances on similar terrain before.
This is not a running challange but similar fitness is absolutely necessary to complete the challenge in under 24 hours.
Distance: 50km
Ascent: 4000m including the same in descent
Difficulty level: Very difficult/challenging/
Experience: Grade 1 scramble experience
Recommeneded kit: Trail shoes, walking poles, lightweight pack
Accomodation: Local to Llanberis ready for a 4.30am start

Any accomodation in Llanberis
You may need to book two nights accomodation to allow an early start and a late finish in the evening (you will miss most check in times) or have some ground support (friend/family) to drop off/collect you from the start and finsh. You will be met at two road junctions with water stops, pre-planned food/fuel throughout the challenge so you will not have to carry all your supplies.
You will have 2-3 mountain leaders throughout your challenge who will switch leads to make sure they are rested and fully prepared to support you at each stage!
