CQID will host a gathering event for Carers and Children to be involved with a variety of activities, such as a yarning session around the importance of speaking with family and friends about protecting children, how to report any suspected harm to a child, protective behaviours, and hearing the voice of our little ones.
The event will be interactive and engagement, by providing resources, yarning session and an Indigenous Artist to help create an artwork which represents keeping our young ones safe and what this means to each participant.
CQID would like to host the event with partner agencies in each area, and community.
Activities on the day: – Indigenous Artist workshop
– Interactive workshops – online safety, stranger danger, and emergency preparedness
– traditional games for children.
– resource booths information on children protection services, helplines, and support groups.
– Food and Refreshments
– Face painting and craft stations.
– Entertainment – local Indigenous music
