KEEPING KIDS CONNECTED (to family and faith)
About this Event
As part of Point B's "Relating To Humans" series, the Keeping Kids Connected seminar is for everyone who loves, cares for, mentors and/or ministers to kids. Together, we will consider how a child's development - from newborn to adulthood - is shaped by "relationship". We will also address and learn to manage those difficult behaviors that can be so frustrating, both in the children we care for and in our own responses.
Areas of exploration include:
***Understanding how relationships shape a child's development, especially emotionally/mentally and spiritually.
***Responding to the rising mental and emotional challenges among children and teens.
***Evaluating the impact of AI and social media
***Challenging some old-school ways of raising and discipling children while looking at practical tools for creating and nurturing healthy family and faith dynamics.
***Learning ways to strengthen parenting, mentoring and caregiving confidence
***Building healthier family, co-parenting and faith centered connections
Whether you are a parent-to-be, new or seasoned parent, mentor, ministry worker, co-parent, grandparent, or someone who cares for and influences children, this seminar offers encouragement, support and practical tools. Wherever you are in this journey, you will find a welcoming place to grow in confidence and learn new ways to help kids stay connected!
