About this Event
If you've ever thought about keeping backyard chickens at home, this workshop is for you! Join Jon Kupkowski from The ReFarmery for an on-farm lesson in everything you'll need to keep your chickens healthy and happy, including popular breeds, how to select an appropriate coop and feed, and how to manage pests and prevent common diseases. All attendees will also receive a chicken-keeping handbook written specifically for the Sacramento Valley area.
This event will be held outdoors on the farm, weather permitting. Please plan on wearing closed toed shoes, and weather appropriate clothing that you don't mind getting a little dirty. More information about location, parking, and more will be provided closer to the event date.
