Join us at the Trails & Rails Museum in Kearney for the 250th Celebration Community Art Project! Paint a 6 inch barn quilt that will be included in a display of 250 to commemorate our 250 years as a country. This masterpiece will be on display outside of the museum for all to enjoy upon completion. This is a free no cost opportunity to be a part of something special that will be a part of history, to create something wonderful and to learn a new skill. In addition to the exciting community art project there will be a barn quilt workshop. Paint a 2 foot by 2 foot barn quilt for your home that will last outdoors. Many designs and colors to choose from the day of class. We use ACM, a outdoor sign material for our barn quilts. Outdoor house paint is used. Materials and techniques focus on the longevity of the barn quilt. There is a charge for the 2 foot barn quilt workshop-see ticket area to reserve your spot.
***Bring to class-yellow Delicate Frogtape (1.41 width is best-buy at a hardware store), extension cord and hair dryer.***
