The Utah Avalanche Center hosts the original Know Before You Go presentation at Utah Ski Gear’s Midvale Performance Center on October 29th, from 6pm-7p. Space is limited so be sure to show up early!
This is a 1 hour avalanche awareness program consisting of a 15-minute video followed by a 20-25 minute slide show and a Q&A period led by an avalanche professional.
In this presentation, you will see the destructive power of avalanches, understand when and why they happen, and how you can have fun in the mountains and avoid avalanches. If you are new to backcountry recreation and looking for a FREE introductory presentation prior to taking an avalanche course in the field, this KBYG event is a great way to get educated.
