ELIGIBILITY: All competitors must produce a current valid BJA, BJC or AJA licence on weigh in. The players must be 5-7 years old for U8 festival and 8 to 15 years old for belt championship on a day. Valid licences on a day. This event is suitable for new officials. If you are willing to learn how to be timekeeper or referee, contact Eva. If the event exceeds amount of judoka for 1 mat, we will run event on 2 matted areas. We will try to match competitors skills, however coaches, parents and players should understand that they may compete against orange belts even if they are entering this event first time.WEIGH IN: Saturday 8th of February 2025: depending on entries, we will inform clubs closer to the date. Competition will open its doors from 9am.
PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE TO COME ON TIME FOR WEIGH IN. MISSING WEIGH IN MAY CAUSE YOU NOT TO BE INCLUDED IN COMPETITION.
EACH PLAYER IS RESPONSIBLE TO CHECK WEIGH IN WITH THEIR COACH OR CONTACT EVA IF NEEDED. Due last round competition in 2024, we had to wait for players who were wrongly informed about weigh in and then we postponed event of 1 hour.
Each player MUST wear white PLAIN T-shirt and trousers on a weigh in. All players are allowed to wear a white T-shirt during matches. Different colour will not be accepted!
U8 festival will be first in a morning. During u8 festival, children will have various games with introduction to randori.

COMPETITION: round robin
Under 12 restrictions for u12 and u16 players and 3 minutes golden score will be given

ALL PLAYERS WILL RECEIVE MEDALS INCLUDING UNDER 8 CHILDREN

CLOSING DATE: 8th of February 2025 or when entry full.
NO ENTRY REFUND WILL BE GIVEN AFTER COMPETITION IS CLOSED OR FULL.
ENTRIES WILL BE TAKEN BY ONLINE BJA SYSTEM. IN A CASE OF ENTERING DIRECTLY THROUGH EVA, PLEASE STATE: FULL NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, GRADE, CLUB AND EXACT WEIGHT
PLEASE, COACHES DO NOT ESTIMATE PLAYER’S WEIGHT, THIS WILL POSTPONE CONTINUITY OF COMPETITION
U 8 simplified rules:
- Judoka has to get opponent on side or back from standing to gain 1 point
- Judoka has to gain 2 points to win
- Judoka can get opponent from standing to the floor and then hold down for 20 seconds which will result with 2 points to win
- Judoka has to hold a grip from beginning to learn a correct pushing and pulling movement
- Judoka will be told by referee if some mistake happened which could result shido if judoka will not listen to referees advise
- If judoka will attempt to do many negative things, referee will not disqualify him/her, instead explain coach the decision
- All u12 rules will apply (if you are not sure about rules, refer to your coach or coach breathing before event)
