This is a BYOB intermediate/advanced-level kayak run (bring your own boat).
We do this paddle regularly and have an amazing time! This run is a meandering adventurous paddle through mangroves. Be prepared for the unexpected as we explore mangrove tunnels scattered throughout the area.

4700 Tom Warriner Blvd · Cocoa Beach, FL 32931
Date: Sunday, November 8, 2026

New launch location:
Due to our usual launch site (Ramp Road) now having only paid parking (at, frankly, ridiculous rates), we have switched to an alternate public launch with free parking.

As you approach the complex, take the first left into the parking lot and follow the road all the way back past the tennis courts. The launch will be at the very end, with launch parking available to the left of the country club pool.

*******
This paddle is sometimes very easy and sometimes a challenge, it all depends on what mangrove tunnels we find! We have been known to put our paddles in our boats and pull ourselves through the tunnels with our hands, and we sometimes need to backtrack down tunnels that don't have an exit. It's nature and you never know when you'll encounter the unexpected!
We highly recommend using a paddle that can separate into two pieces.
You should be an experienced kayaker for this adventure. You can easily get lost here and cell signals are spotty, so we recommend staying with the group for this adventure.
The tunnels are interspersed through large open areas, so sun protection is essential.
**************
After the paddle, we will meet at La Catrina Mexican Restaurant located at 315 W Cocoa Beach Causeway, Cocoa Beach, FL 32931. Consider an extra set of clothes on the chance you fall out of your boat.

What to bring:
- Anything you need to be comfortable on the water
- PFD (Personal Flotation Device)
- A water bottle (Reusable water bottles are suggested, as they are less likely to fall out of the kayak and become litter.)
- Wear clothes that can get wet. It's unlikely that you will fall out of your boat, but things can get really splashy.
- Wear water shoes rather than flipflops. It's unlikely that you'll need to get out of the boat, but occasionally, we need to pull boats over a downed tree in very shallow water. Flip flops tend to get lost or sucked into sand/mud.
- A way to protect your phone, if you are going to use it for pictures on the water.
- Weather-appropriate clothing. This time of the year can be unexpectedly cold or hot.
- Sunscreen, hat, sun shirt, bug spray, etc...
- Please contact one of us if you have any questions. Seriously! If you have questions, please let us know!
