The essential motif of The Guardians Of The Galaxy movie franchise was the remarkably eclectic soundtrack that features throughout each movie, reviving classics such as The Jackson Five’s I Want You Back, Spirit In The Sky, Sweet’s Fox On The Run, Glen Campbell’s Southern Nights, Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain and ELO’s Mr Blue Sky whilst giving new life to catchy numbers like Come And Get Your Love by Redbone and the power pop of The Raspberries Go All The Way. Thus a newer generation of music lovers have now been introduced to a sensational song selection from the seventies.In keeping with this idea, seven of Sydney’s most fabulous musicians have brought to life a setlist of the best of these tracks and supplemented the evening’s theme with 70s tunes that are not cliched but are guaranteed to please an audience. Jet by Wings, Boston’s More Than A Feeling, 10cc’s Good Morning Judge, Atomic by Blondie, and some Aussie iconic moments such as Skyhooks Living In The 70s are an indication of a really great gig to see.
