Hermit Woods Winery & Katie Dobbins Music partner together to present a monthly music series titled Songwriter RoundUp, where audience members can enjoy talented singer-songwriters from the New England Area in the Lakes Region’s premier listening room. Enjoy songs and stories from host Katie Dobbins and guest artists Dan Sirois and Patrick Synan as they perform acoustically in-the-round. New songwriters will be featured on the last Wednesday of every month in this intimate series! Tickets are $10 - $15 at hermitwoods.com.

Katie Dobbins

Award winning singer-songwriter and light warrior Katie Dobbins seeks to share honest music that captivates listeners and brings light to the darkness. With a mastery of storytelling and the heart of a poet, this soulful songstress captures elements of life and relationships in ways that lift the spirit and challenge the soul. Her album There Is Light, produced by multi-award-winning producer Sean McLaughlin of 37' Productions, was awarded Album of the Year at the 2021 Limelight Music Awards. Her single There’s a Light, mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Jeff Lipton, was featured on Spotify’s Editorial playlist. Her music has been featured on prominent radio stations like The River and “Boston’s Hottest Country,” with host Carolyn Kruse raving “Sweet but bold, Katie’s voice is reminiscent of one of her heroes, Jewel, but only deeper… A fearless spirit with a gentle touch.” Dobbins’ latest single Giants is an uplifting anthem designed to awaken the spirit and strength within us. The track was mixed and mastered by Emmy-nominated producer Brian Coombes of Rocking Horse Studio (NH), whom Katie plans to release more new music with this year.

Dan Sirois

Raised in Andover, MA in a musical family, Dan Sirois digs deep into his roots to craft introspective, slice-of-life songs that bring vivid pictures to mind, delivered with a rich vocal warmth and storytelling style. After joining the family ranks of three generations of carpenters, Dan spent years swinging a hammer by day while writing, playing and singing songs at night, followed by a succession of musical endeavors including solo, duo and band performances. What sets Dan’s music apart are strong lyrical narratives. His character-based stories full of observation and insight into real life people and experiences prompt listeners to crack a smile, shed a tear or simply find familiarity that’s easily relatable to situations in their own lives.

Dan’s first full length CD, “Movies on the Wall” was released in 2005 to favorable reviews and airplay on several New England radio stations, leading to featured solo performances, Nashville songwriting showcases, intimate “house concerts” as well as sharing the stage with a variety of notable local and national artists. Dan’s latest CD, "Blood and Wine", takes listeners on a musical journey that navigates a myriad of soundscapes, capturing life from the personal perspective of this talented and accomplished working man.

Patrick Synan

Patrick Synan is a songwriter based in Melrose, MA. His work features percussive acoustic guitar rhythms and imaginative stories informed by history, current events, and personal experience.

A Listening Room Experience

Hermit Woods is excited to bring talented artists from New England and beyond to perform for you. Each performance will provide you with an intimate, up-close, and personal experience with the performing artists. We ask our audience please refrain from talking during the featured show. Your silence will allow the artists and the audience to immerse themselves in the experience, which is not otherwise possible in larger, noisier environments.

Doors open at 5:30 pm for a complimentary wine tasting. The Loft Doors open at 6:00. We encourage you to arrive early for our wine tasting and enjoy food and wine before the show. Food service stops at 7:00, the bar will remain open throughout the performance. When the featured artists takes the stage we will ask that the audience remain quiet during the performance. After the show, we invite you to interact with the artists and purchase any music or merchandise offerings if available.
