(Doors open at 5:30 p.m.)Katherine is the author of thirteen novels, including The Shippers (May 2026), The Love Haters, and The Rom-Commers. Film adaptations of her novels Happiness for Beginners and The Lost Husband both reached the global Top 10 on Netflix.
About The Shippers:
JoJo Burton, fed up with her failed love life, decides to fix her intimacy issues at her sister’s cruise-ship wedding by pursuing her first crush—a newly divorced guest—for “closure.” She enlists her estranged childhood best friend, Cooper, who unexpectedly shows up after years away and a painful falling-out, to help her. As they fake flirt and navigate wedding chaos together, old feelings resurface, forcing them to confront their past and reconsider what they truly mean to each other.
Your $35 ticket includes admission to the event and a copy of Katherine’s newest release, The Shippers. Tickets go on sale at 8:00 a.m. on May 19, 2026 at https://auburnoilbooksellers.com/event/the-opelika-book-festival-presents-katherine-center/
