Montreal pianist and composer Kate Wyatt is recognized as one of Canada’s leading jazz voices, recently earning nominations for the Paul de Hueck and Norman Walford Career Achievement Award. Her acclaimed album Artifact appeared on multiple “Best Jazz of 2022” lists across Canada, the U.S., and Europe, and she is currently touring music from her upcoming release Murmurations (Fall 2025).
Kate has performed with jazz luminaries including Kenny Wheeler, Christine Jensen, Allison Au, Don Thompson, and the Orchestre national de jazz de Montréal. Known for her creative imagination and sensitivity, she has been awarded support from the Canada Council for the Arts, FACTOR, and the Conseil des arts du Québec. In addition to her performance career, Wyatt heads the jazz program at Marianopolis College and is a sought-after educator and clinician.
