Kart 4 Kids - Annual Pro-Am Kart Race

The 14th annual Kart 4 Kids Pro-Am Kart Race will be held at T4 Kartplex in Palmetto, FL on February 26, 2025. The race was started in 2012 as a way to honor the memory of IndyCar driver and St. Petersburg resident, Dan Wheldon, who had tragically perished in a racing accident.

Each year, teams of professional and amateur drivers come together for the race, which benefits Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. In 2020, the event raised $205,000, their best year yet. In total, more than $1 million has been raised since the event commenced. These funds have been used for everything from life-saving equipment purchases, to a Kart 4 Kids Relief Fund to provide support for patients, families, and staff, to the Kart 4 Kids Concussion Initiative at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital, which is conducting ground-breaking research on concussions in children.
