Join us for a dazzling evening as we celebrate the start of 5th season - Karneval - in San Diego! It's our 60th Anniversary year and we have a lot to be thankful for, from our incredible members and their long-time patronage to decades of delightful dance routines, comedic skits, quirky theme parties and Vegas voyages... all designed to remind us to love life and let loose every once in a while!
Opening Night is when we introduce guests to our Royal Couple, Court and Elferrat, and unveil new performances by the youth dance group - Kindertanzgruppe - and adult dance group - Prinzengarde. Hosts will guide us through a hilarious evening of good-humored banter and fun traditions. Later on, DJ Craig will mix music to fill the dance floor!
SCHEDULE: Doors open at 5:30 p.m., dinner will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. (only to those who purchase tickets by Nov. 13), and the program will begin at 7:33 p.m.
TICKETS: Tickets are available online at germanclubsandiego.com for $15 in advance (members receive a $5 discount when they enter their member ID) or for $20 at the door. Kids can enter for free. Dinner is a separate purchase for $23 per plate (all ages) and includes pork roast with gravy, fresh vegetables, Rotkohl (red cabbage), potatoes, salad, a roll and dessert.
ATTIRE: The Hall will be glammed up for the Diamond Jubilee theme, so come dressed in your Saturday night best, wearing semi-formal or cocktail attire.
The bar will be open. Cash and credit cards are accepted.
