What is functional yoga? Functional yoga recognizes that each one of us is unique with different physical and sensory experiences. Functional yoga is less concerned with the outer aesthetics of asana and more interested in empowering the individual to feel their way through the practice from the inside out. Emphasis is placed on variable movement and mobility via strength, balance, coordination and a reasonable level of flexibility. This is a wonderful practice which supports healthy movement patterns on and off the mat!
