The KZOO26-Spring Event is shaping up to be another wonderful early spring community-wide event to beautify Mayors' and Verburg Parks, and clean up the Kalamazoo Valley River Trail from as far as Comstock to Parchment. The must-attend event has something for everyone of all ages, from litter patrol to helping clear invasive trees and bushes under the guidance of Kzoo Parks and Recreation, BCK CISMA, and other experts.
What is certain is that a great impact will be created, and a great time will be had by all. Come join us. Bring a friend, neighbor, or family member, come alone, or make it a company team-building event. If you volunteer as a group, civic or social, company or other, we’d love to showcase your support and feature your logo in our marketing.
Everything needed will be provided, including trash bags, trash pickers, loppers, bottled water, snacks, and more. We do encourage you to bring your own personal gloves for greater comfort and a layer of protection.
In appreciation of our volunteers' remarkable effort, the Kalamazoo Growlers will be providing lunch and hospitality at their stadium. They will also be gifting each volunteer a FREE pass to one of their home games on a date soon to be shared.
Our events are more than unveiling cleaner and healthier rivers, riverside parks, and river trails; they’re about unveiling community spirit and civic pride. Here in the Greater Kalamazoo Area, we have much to boast about and to celebrate.
