UPDATE; Karen's diagnosis is terminal, treatment to extend her life will be on going. She will always need chemo. Without treatment, she would have about 2 months. She has been put on palliative care. She is determined to fight and stay around as long as she can, so she can have as much time as possible with her family. Karen will require a lot of care not covered by OHIP. Basic things that we take for granted like walking, dressing and cook for ourselves she has needed assistance with since the cancer spread throughout her body. She will need a lot of care as she battles that and the effects of the treatment. Karen is being a brave warrior determined to give Cancer a run for its money. I think we all agree "F cancer", lets help her fight!
My beautiful sister in law Karen Snider (nee Bellamy) was diagnosed today. She starts radiation Friday, She is in for the fight of her life and she needs our help!
Karen has been diagnosed with a very aggressive bone cancer. As many know she has been off work for a while with health issues. Which already put a financial strain on the family. Danny is their only source of income. As Karen starts radiation and chemo therapy Danny needs to take time off to care for her.
Karen’s always been there for everyone without hesitation. Giving of her time, energy and whatever she can to help out others. Never expecting anything in return, just out of the goodness of her heart. This time she needs our help for her family. Without medical benefits or sick benefits, the financial burden is hard hitting. I am asking all to help out how ever you can. Fighting cancer is a hard enough battle on its own, let’s help her with this fight by lightening the financial worries so she can focus on her health without worrying about her family.
