KAREN HOLIK SEMINARS 4-6 October, 2024 REGISTRATION DETAILS coming soon Friday, October 4th: 11am – 2:30pm: “Handlers Choice” Open to all levels, full course available. This seminar will give the handler and their dog the opportunity to work individually with Karen on whatever you want to work on. 3:30pm – 7pm: “Weave Challenges” Open to dogs who already weave 12 poles with handler on either side. Designed for handlers who want to trust their dog to go to the weaves and complete them on their own, while handler moves to the next point on the course, even at a distance. This seminar will show you how to train independent weave pole performance, including challenging entries, distance, and more. *jumps, tunnels and weaves will be used* Saturday, October 5th: 9am – 12:30pm: “Either Or” Open to dogs who can sequence at least 8 obstacles. Designed to teach dogs to follow your handling when the same jumps are executed differently every time. *jumps, tunnels and weaves will be used* 1:30pm – 5pm: “TUNNEL, not tunnel” Open to dogs who are eager to enter tunnels. Designed for handlers who want to proof skills or correct gaps in training. This seminar will include tunnel discriminations, bypass, entries, and exits. *jumps, tunnels and weaves will be used* Sunday, October 6th: 9am – 12:30pm: “Space” Challenge your dog’s speed, focus, and independence on larger, spacious course. This will include jumps, tunnels, weaves. ** This course may be moved outside to larger outdoor ring.** 1:30pm – 5pm: “Contacts! Safe Approaches and Challenging Exits” Open to dogs trained on contacts and handlers who know their dogs criteria. Designed for handlers who want consistent contact performance, including handling for safe approaches, hitting the contact zone, and nailing the next obstacle.
