Karaoke Idol

The Karaoke Idol Series is a multi-date singing competition designed to build recurring audience traffic, showcase local talent, promote cross-event attendance, and culminate in a high-energy Finale featuring a special celebrity appearance by Day26. All events take place at Water Street Music Hall.

Advancement
2–3 contestants move on from each qualifier to the Finale.

General Admission includes unlimited performances for fun throughout the night. The $5 entry fee ONLY applies to contestants entering the competition, not to people who just want to sing for fun.

Contestant Rules & Eligibility
Must be 18+ (or have a parent/guardian present)
Must complete the Contestant Entry Form and pay the $5 competition entry fee
Solo performers; duets allowed only if approved
Song limit: Maximum 5 minutes
No explicit or hateful content unless approved
Contestants may sign up in advance; limited walk-in slots available
Contestants agree to allow photography, video recording, and use of likeness for promotion

Song Selection
Contestants may choose any track from the venue’s karaoke library
Contestants may bring their own compatible karaoke file (MP3+G, etc.)

Audience Voting (NEW)
The audience and attendees will write their selected winners on voting cards.
Audience votes determine the winners each night.
Judges may still offer commentary, but the audience ballots finalize who advances.

Judges/audience select 2–3 finalists each night
Results are final
