Think you have what it takes to bring down the house? Join us at Bandera Beerfest for our Karaoke Contest, where the crowd decides and the judges score every note, every move, and every ounce of stage presence.Rules
Order of performance will be determined by random drawing.
Crowd response will be taken after each performance.
No professionals may participate.
Scoring
Performances will be judged on 15 criteria across three categories. Judges award 0, ½, or 1 point per item, with a perfect score being 15 points.
Vocal Performance (up to 6 points)
On pitch throughout?
Hit high notes without strain?
Chose a song suited to ability?
Stayed in time with music?
Sustained notes and phrases with breath control?
Showed mastery and knowledge of the song?
Song Interpretation (up to 4 points)
Strong phrasing with no awkward breaths?
Brought their own style, or mimicked the original well?
Used dynamics to make the song come alive?
Chose a vocal delivery suited to the song?
Stage Presence (up to 5 points)
Performed in an entertaining way?
Drew in the crowd and judges?
Showed enthusiasm and emotional connection?
Confident on stage?
Displayed unusual talent, range, or skill?

Tickets are available now at Bandera Brewery or online through our website.
Proceeds benefit the Bandera Brewery Scholarship Fund. Winners receive a one-of-a-kind custom trophy and their name on the wall of victors.
