Kankaria Carnival 2024 in Ahmedabad

The Kankaria Carnival 2024 is scheduled to take place from December 25 to December 31 at the Kankaria Lakefront in Ahmedabad. Organized by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation this annual festival offers a vibrant mix of cultural performances entertainment and wellness activities for visitors of all ages.

Event Highlights:

• Wellness Activities: Each day begins with sessions in yoga pranayama meditation aerobics and Zumba promoting holistic well-being. 
• Cultural Performances: Geet Gunjan featuring some of the most prolific folk singers like Geeta Rabari, Jigardan Gadhvi, Vishwanath Batunge, Payal Vaidya, Kirtidan Gadhvi, Osman Mir and Sairam Dave etc.
• Special Attractions: This year's carnival introduces a drone show an underwater dance performance and a human pyro show alongside the popular laser show.
• Family Entertainment: Enjoy magic shows puppet performances a horror house roller coaster rides and a unique pet fashion show.
• Competitions and Workshops: Participate in nail art tattoo-making karaoke and contests in singing dancing and stand-up comedy.
• Food Court: A variety of local delicacies and popular cuisines are available at the food court catering to diverse tastes.

Entry Details:

• Timings: The carnival operates daily from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
• Entry Fee: ₹10 for adults and ₹5 for children. Additional charges apply for specific attractions like boat rides the toy train and the butterfly park.

Safety Measures:

The venue is equipped with CCTV surveillance a control room and on-site police and fire brigade staff to ensure visitor safety. Additional services include a lost and found desk medical teams and blood donation camps.

Additional Information:

The carnival will feature a theme-based parade on "Developed Gujarat Developed India" and an attempt to set a Guinness World Record during the inauguration where 1000 children will simultaneously unwrap and eat chocolates.
