Kan Yama Kan: Storytime with Ms. Dina

Featuring (Batriq ada3a altariq; A penguin lost his way) by Palestinian Kuwaiti author . The story chronicles the journey of a penguin displaced by climate change as he roams the world in search for home.

Ms. Dina will read the story in Arabic, with consecutive English translation. Then, together, we will revisit key terms from the story while practicing the Arabic alphabets. For example: ب for بطريق and ط for طريق. Lastly, together we will discuss the lessons the kids draw from the story.

Note: Al-Bustan is a multi-purpose community space. While readings will take place at Al-Bustan's library, parents are kindly requested to remain with their children and watch over them beyond the premises of the library and near exhibition spaces where delicate art is displayed. Thank you.
