Kamloops Cancer Centre Business-to-Business Networking Event

Infrastructure BC, in partnership with Interior Health Authority, Provincial Health Services Authority, and BC Cancer, is hosting an in-person Business-to-Business Networking Event for local contractors, suppliers, and businesses who might be interested in working with or providing products and services to the shortlisted proponent teams if they are to become the successful proponent for the Kamloops Cancer Centre Project.

This event also allows the proponent team members to enhance their knowledge, understanding, and awareness of available local services and build relationships with local contractors, suppliers, and businesses.

The new Kamloops Cancer Centre is comprised of two concurrent components: design and construction of a new, five-storey, standalone satellite outpatient radiation oncology clinic facility and a series of renovations in existing spaces within the Royal Inland Hospital campus.

There will be space for radiation treatment, radiation-therapy planning, including a CT Simulator, an outpatient ambulatory-care unit, including 10 exam rooms and two consultation rooms for radiation-therapy services, an additional MRI suite, and patient arrival and check-in areas. The centre will have three linear accelerator vaults. These heavy, concrete structures contain radiation equipment used for cancer-patient treatment. In collaboration with Indigenous partners, there will also be a sacred space for patients, caregivers, and staff, with features to support traditional ceremonies.
