After a stunning show last year in Coaldale, this incredible Celtic trio is returning to Salida, playing at A Church! The trio makes music inspired by the maritime traditions of Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia and North America. They revel in the driving danceability of Irish tunes but also take inspiration from the pastoral melodies and nature’s metaphors of Scottish music.
In 1996 Ryan McKasson was the youngest ever to win the National Scottish Fiddle Championship. He plays in several other bands, including his longest running band the Syncopaths (20+ years). He's also in great demand as an instructor in fiddle and music camps. He now lives in Washington state.
Jeremiah McKlane was raised in a family with deep ties to both its Scottish heritage and its New Hampshire roots. His bio is totally overwhelming with all the projects he’s a part of but he’s studied with masters in jazz, blues, classical piano, Indonesian gamelan and West African drumming. He’s an exceptional accordion player and pianist and lives in the historic town of Sharon, Vermont.
Eric McDonald found his way to traditional music through the rich local music scene in his hometown of Boston Mass. After nearly a decade studying at Berklee College of Music under world renowned musicians such as guitarist/mandolinist John McGann and cellist Eugene Friesene, he is now established as one of this country’s premier accompanists in many styles with his beautiful rich guitar work.
This is definitely a "do-not-miss" concert. Seating will be capped at 120, get advance tickets for only $20:
