Join us on Saturday the 23rd of November for our next Kaipātiki Repair Cafe - held right here at Birkdale Community House. The Kaipātiki Community Markets will be on at the same time meaning that you can get your household items repaired, have a cuppa with us and do some Christmas Shopping at the same time.Items you can bring in for repair:
Household / general
Clean washed clothing
Jewellery
Toys
Small electrical items
Bikes
Not sure if we can fix it? Bring it in and see!
Please note that our repairers are all volunteers giving up their time to help. Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided - koha appreciated if you can :)
Repair cafe will run from 10am until 1pm, toy swap and markets are from 10am until 2pm :)
TOY SWAP DETAILS:
Choose some of your best condition second hand toys from home and bring them into Birkdale Community House during our opening hours, or at the special 'toy drop' time of 9-10am for the next two Saturday mornings.
You will be able to exchange these toys for tokens - and then come along on Saturday the 23rd to 'spend' your tokens choosing some new toys for your tamariki. A great way to be sustainable AND keep the cost of Christmas down!
