You're invited to Kahler Prairie, 110 acres of reconstructed prairie and woodland habitat minutes from Iowa City, for a fall prairie seed harvest!
Together, we'll hand-harvest native seed. Seed collected will be used to diversify and expand the prairie. This activity is a favorite among our volunteers because of how peaceful and relaxing it is. It’s a great way to get to know the prairie more intimately and learn about this special ecosystem.
