AFSANEY is an open mic platform curated by Kahani Ghar – House of Storytellers & Artists, created for poets, storytellers, singers and comedians who want to express their art and connect with a live audience.

This event is a celebration of words, music, humour and emotions, where every performance tells a story and every story finds a heart.

Performer Rules & Time Slots

🎤 Performer Time Slots

• Each performer will get 6–7 minutes on stage.
• Performance order will be decided by the organisers.
• Reporting time for performers is 1:00 PM.
• Performances will begin sharply at 01:30 PM.
• Late arrivals may lose their slot.

📜 Performer Rules

Content Guidelines

• Poetry, storytelling, comedy and singing are allowed.
• No hate speech, abusive language, political or religious offensive content.
• Explicit or vulgar content is strictly not allowed.

Language

• Performances are allowed in Hindi, Urdu and English.

Original Content

• Original content is encouraged.
• Cover songs are allowed but must be family-friendly.

Time Discipline

• Performers must strictly follow the given time limit.
• Exceeding time may lead to mic being muted.

Respect & Behaviour

• Maintain respect towards fellow performers and audience.
• Any misbehaviour will lead to immediate disqualification.

Technical Setup

• One mic will be provided.
• Background music (if any) must be shared in advance with organisers.

Recording & Media

• Organisers reserve the right to record performances for promotional use.
