Hey K-12 teachers, homeschool parents, and educators! 🪵☀️
Join KACEE for a free, hands-on morning session where you will experience different inquiry-based activities about trees, water, and wildlife to give you the skills to teach these activities to your students. The Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE) is a non-profit organization that provides science-based, non-biased training and resources to help educators integrate environmental literacy and outdoor learning into their classrooms. This workshop is all about giving you the confidence and practical tools to build a lasting culture of outdoor learning with your students. They will show you how to start small, build momentum, and make the living world your new classroom.
You’ll walk away with several physical activity guides packed with over 73 hands-on, multidisciplinary lessons designed to connect kids to nature right away. During our time together, we will dive into immersive activities drawn straight from the top three environmental education frameworks in the country: Project Learning Tree, Project WET, and Project WILD. You will gain field-tested strategies to integrate environmental education and project-based learning into your current curriculum or homeschool program. Plus, you'll get an exclusive invitation to extend your learning through an online KACEE course in Spring 2027 for two graduate credit hours.
