Curated by Juno Award Winner Scott Morin, each Soul at the Attic show features a rotating lineup of top-tier local and touring musicians, blending their own take on soulful music with fresh, inspired performances.

This series is meant to give Calgary's huge audience of soulful music fans a chance to hear specially-curated concerts and ensembles that you will not hear anywhere else. Each Soul at the Attic show is an experience filling the wide range of genres and influences that fall under the soulful music umbrella, married with a venue offering specially created cocktails and an incredible menu of pizza and pasta.

One of Alberta's most talked about hip-hop artists, K-Riz began rapping at the age of 12 as the Kid Charisma, and comes from a family with deep musical roots. His uncle, who was also a rapper, scored hit single "Mogadishu" with hip-hop duo Hero. K-Riz's grandfather played jazz music, and his father was a DJ — and one of the first to spin hip hop and R&B in Edmonton in the '80s. His given family is deeply talented, as is his musical family that will be joining him at this show. R&B and Jazz influences are a growing part of K-RIZ & THE FAMILY's sound and will be in full effect for this special night of soulful music in celebration of Black History Month.
