As part of the Words on the Waves’ mission to foster literacy and a love of reading in the next generation of readers and writers on the Central Coast, the festival offers a range of events for children, teens and the young at heart!The Juvenilia Exhibition showcases a collection of works from some of Australia’s most loved and established children’s authors and illustrators created when they were children.
Juvenilia offers a rare and intimate glimpse into the early works of some of Australia’s most loved children’s authors and illustrators, a gentle reminder that every creative journey begins somewhere.
Curated by author and illustrator Aimee Chan, Juvenilia includes childhood works from Andy Griffiths, Graeme Base, Alison Lester, Ursula Dubosarsky, Danny Katz, Suzanne Gervay, Dub Leffler and many more ,creating a unique and inspiring celebration of imagination and beginnings.
