Justice, agency and power: Lived experience in North London and beyond
About this Event
Join us on the 1st December as we gather to celebrate, explore and discuss the ways in which lived experience roles and projects impact the communities we are based in, while supporting and championing mental health lived experience expertise.
As we continue to move forward building a sustainable and impactful co-produced community to change mental health care practices and culture, we are encountering challenges in wider systems and organisations.
So, on this day we are asking how we might we be able to ensure that the lived experience is valued and embedded in the face of substantial barriers?
This day will include presentations and tasters from colleagues in the Balkans who have delivered pilots for their newly created Recovery College model. Alongside will be SOAS anthropology researchers from the Centre for Anthropology and Mental Health Research in Action (CAMHRA), Lived Experience Explorers from the Habitus Collective, UCL lived experience research representatives and more. Full schedule to follow.
It will be a great opportunity to connect with your local community of lived experience/peer workers and be reinvigorated, challenged, inspired and connected around the work to come.
