On Wednesday, October 23, join the Capital City Master Gardeners, Montgomery County branch of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, and Town of Pike Road Agriculture and Stewardship Club for Just Cant It! Canning & Food Preservation Workshop to learn how to preserve your own foods right at home right in time for the holidays under the guidance of Dani Reams, Food Safety and Quality Alabama Extension Regional Agent.
In this workshop participants will:
- Learn proper procedures for canning and food preservation at home with hands on water bath canning
- Learn about the differences between sugar concentrates such as jams, jellies, preserves, conserves, marmalades, etc.
- Get answers for any concerns regarding home food preservation
- Take home a pint of Cranberry Marmalade to share with family or as a gift for the holidays
