Looking for a creative spark to jump start your writing? In this one-time workshop, you’ll dive into a series of guided exercises and playful prompts designed to generate new ideas and get words on the page. You'll experiment with prompts that help you surprise yourself and uncover unexpected material, all within a supportive and inspiring environment. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with fresh material, a toolkit of prompts to keep you going, and renewed energy for your creative practice.
This 1.5 hour class is offered FREE at the Waynesboro Public Library.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:
Jill Caddell is an experienced writer and teacher of fiction and creative nonfiction. After receiving her Ph.D. in English, she held faculty positions at the University of Kent, American University, and George Mason University. She is currently a writing coach with the Gilliam Writers Group. Her scholarly work has appeared in numerous journals and edited collections, and she has written reviews and criticism for media outlets including JSTOR Daily, Longreads, CNN Opinion, The Conversation, and The Rambling. Her first novel, a work of historical fiction set in the English countryside during World War 2, recently gained representation, and she is at work on a second novel, a retelling of the history of spiritualism in the 19th-century United States.
