🌞 What is Scrap Happens? 🌞
Scrap Happens is a free monthly junk journaling meetup where we get together to make things, swap ideas, and spend a few hours creating with people who understand why we save that *really good* piece of packaging.
Whether you've been junk journaling for years or have never made a single page, you're welcome here. There's no pressure to make a specific project. Bring something you're already working on, join in on the optional monthly project, or simply come hang out and see what it's all about. Throughout the year we'll occasionally have themed meetups, tutorials, or optional make-and-takes, but you're always welcome to work on your own projects instead.
⚠️ Warning: Attendance may result in leaving with more supplies than you arrived with.
🎒 What to Bring 🎒
Required: Your journal or a project you'd like to work on, scissors, and a glue stick or tape runner. (The library does not allow liquid glue.)
Feel free to bring any papers, magazines, junk mail, stickers, washi, ephemera, stamps, ribbons, greeting cards, fabric scraps, or other supplies you'd like to use or share.
🚫 Please leave glitter, paint, and liquid glue at home.
☕ Snacks & Drinks ☕
Snacks and drinks are welcome. Please avoid beverages containing red, purple, or orange dye.
🚨 Save Your Spot 🚨
Attendance is limited to 20 people, so please RSVP if you plan to come. If we fill all 20 spots, we'll start looking for a bigger home so even more people can join us.
🎨 Shared Supplies 🎨
There will always be plenty of paper, stickers, washi, ephemera, journal confetti, scraps, and other bits and bobs available to use. You definitely don't need to own a mountain of supplies to join us.
