Grades 4, 5 and 6 will begin their days with grooming and pony care ahead of their morning ridden session of 90 minutes flat work and jumping. They’ll then prep the ponies for lunch before enjoying lunch themselves. In the afternoon, there will be a lecture demo followed by another 90 minute group flat work session with a woodland ride. The day will finish with preparingponies for turn out and learning more about stable management.
Grades 7 and 8 will work on improving their grooming to meet industry standards before perfecting their straightness and suppleness work in their first flat training session. After enjoying lunch (the horses too!) they will have a practical demo about learning the horses striding along with groundwork exercises, followed by a gymnastic jumping session featuring technical
jumping. Horses and students will then be ready for a rest with turn out. The end of the day features stable management on competition tack fitting and preparing horses for travel.
