There will be three educational sessions:
Dr. Stacy Smith-Foley and Dr. Yara Robertson – self-proclaimed “breast friends” — who will speak on raising awareness about screening guidelines, risk factors (e.g., dense breasts) and more.
A panel moderated by Kenya Eddings with the Arkansas Minority Health Commission, and speakers Dr. Nirvana Manning from UAMS & the Maternal Mortality Review Board; Nicolle Fletcher, co-founder and Executive Director of Ujima Maternity Network; and Cassi Mason, Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Founder of The Rural Midwife & Co., LLC. They will discuss maternal health issues and raise awareness for the disparate impact of care/treatment on and for minorities.
Advanced Physical Therapy, Jovie Murtha and Ashtin Hoskins will provide information on pelvic floor exercises and therapy.
Other highlights: light continental breakfast provided by CARTI, chair yoga by Sarah Thomas, presentation by Dr Bruce Murphy and Dee White with AR Heart Hospital on their Breast CT technology, vendor information tables manned by:
